Little Sahara was known as Sand Mountain before it was turned into an ATV Park. The dunes began as sand bars on the southern shore of Lake Bonneville. When the lake dried up, wind moved the sand across the lake bed until it came to rest 160 miles to the north against a ridge called Sand Mountain. There we find it today.
