From 1942 until late 1946 there were an estimated 10,000 Japanese Americans who spent part of their lives, in confinement, at the Topaz Relocation Site. In 1944 Topaz was the fifth largest city in Utah. A restored barracks exists in Delta which helps you understand how these people lived during the war years.
